Najib in better health and has returned to Kajang Prison, says hospital

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Najib Razak is now in good condition and has been sent back to Kajang prison, says the Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital (HRC).

In a statement Friday (Sept 23), HRC said a physical therapist also taught former prime minister some exercises on he can practice on his own.

"Najib has undergone several examinations and rehabilitation during his stay at HRC.

"Results from his latest examination conducted by the HRC medical specialist found that he is in good health," HRC said.

The hospital also said Najib's family had been informed of his condition as well as the plan to monitor his health.

"Expert consultants from Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) and HRC have given medical clearance and allowed him to be transferred back to Kajang prison," said HRC.

Najib was referred to HRC for further treatment and monitoring by HKL on Monday (Sept 19).

He is serving a 12-year sentence in Kajang Prison following the Federal Court's decision on Aug 23 to uphold his corruption conviction involving RM42mil of SRC International funds.
